Welcome to Thundering Hooves Equestrian
Where the wellbeing of your horse comes first.
Inside
our world
At Thundering Hooves Equestrian, I specialise in muscle therapy, functional nutrition & whole-horse balance. My mission is to promote balance, comfort and harmony in every horse through natural, compassionate care.
I believe in working with each horse as a whole being - nurturing their physical health, emotional wellbeing, and inner strength so they can truly thrive.
Every horse is treated as an individual, with care, respect and understanding at the heart of everything I do.
Healthy Happy Horses
My love for horses began long before I can even remember - they have always been part of who I am. Healing and caring for them isn’t just my career; its my calling.
With over 15 years of experience as a Equine Wellness Practitioner, I’m dedicated to helping every horse feel their best, move freely, and live comfortably. At Thundering Hooves Equestrian, I take a holistic, natural approach to equine wellbeing, focusing on the unique needs of each individual horse.
Every horse is unique. My work focuses on understanding what your horse truly needs, rather than applying one-size-fits-all diets or trends. I assess current feeding programs, forage quality, workload, age, health, challenges, stress levels, and past experiences to create individualised nutrition and wellness plans that support balance, vitality, and long-term health.
My approach is especially beneficial for horses experiencing:
Digestive or gut issues
Weight, metabolic, or laminitic concerns
Behavioural changes linked to nutrition, stress and/or muscle soreness/tightness
Poor condition, dull coat, or low energy
Recovery from illness, injury, or emotional trauma
I work alongside owners, carers, and - where appropriate — veterinarians and other practitioners, offering practical, compassionate guidance that is grounded in nutritional principles and guided by the horse itself.
My intention is not just to improve what goes into the feed bin, but to support the horse as a whole, sentient being, helping them feel safe, nourished and able to thrive.
Happy Healthy Lives
Molly:
Can you believe that she is now 29 years young? Looks amazing doesn’t she? Still running around like she was 10, and she has healthy teeth.
She came to me as an off the track thoroubred as a 5 year old. Totally stressed, stomach ulcers, anxiety, and a teeth grinder.
She has become the matriarch of our herd and is gentle, calm and has a heart of gold. Always there for support and comfort for foals being weaned.
I totally believe that her health is due to diet, muscle therapy and of course a lot of love.
Correct diet, muscle work and she has been thriving ever since.
Pasture Associated Laminitis
Here are the Signs:
Intermittant lameness
Walking slowly/stiffly
Muscles feel and look tight
Lying down more than normal
Tender (‘footy’) on hard ground or over stones
Crest feels hard rather than being soft and wobbly
Shifting weight from foot to foot
You can feel the Digital Pulse
Farrier/trimmer notices ‘pinking’ (blood) in the white line
Rocked back stance
You need to act urgently - your horse may depend on it.

This beautiful mare had not been looked after at all. She was only 12 years old and had been competing in cross country, showjumping and dressage. She was incredibly sore, malnourished and knocked rails, refused jumps and was miserable.
With a total change of diet, muscle therapy and building trust she became;
A happy healthy horse and a willing partner with health and vitality. Jumping everything she was asked and loving her life.
